Minimum rental period is 24 hours (unless stated otherwise).
All rentals include insurance (subject to excess, breakdown cover, mileage (subject to local limits) and VAT).

Van Rentals are subject to an overhead roof damage excess.
Additional Drivers are acceptable at an additional cost.
Drivers must have held their licence for a minimum of 12 months (or 2 years if the driver is under 25 or a non UK license holder.)

Deposits are required on all rentals.
When you reserve a vehicle with us we will assume your drop off time is the same as your pick up time UNLESS YOU MAKE IT CLEAR OTHERWISE.
Minimum age is 23, maximum age is 69 (this may vary on some makes and models)
Drivers age 21-23 or 69-72 may be accepted subject to insurance clearance (surcharges may apply)
Foreign Licence Rules - We must be able to read and understand the licence presented and establish it is valid. We can not accept an International Drivers Permit on it's own without the original under any circumstances. European Licences with the EU symbol are fine without an International licence. IDP's are intended for the purpose of translation. The onus is on the Renter to provide a translation to confirm all our Insurance Risk questions.

7 seater hires
Drivers must be at least 25 with 5 years driving experience
All prospective hirers
All hirers of any of our cars other than those with more than 7 seats must be at least 23 with at least 2 years driving experience on their own insurance and no more than 6 points (subject to further investigation) on their drivers licence. Hirers of any of our vans must be at least 25 with a minimum of 2 years driving experience on their own insurance and no more than 6 points (subject to further investigation).
Half day hire
Half day hire is available on all our vans am or pm, subject to availability
Collision Damage Reduction
Practical Sunderland offers collision damage reduction (not a full waiver) on the insurance excess and rates vary depending on the vehicle and length of the hire
Cancellation Terms
We take a credit or debit card to hold your reservation. If you need to cancel the booking, we need 3 days notice or you may be charged 1 day's rental as a cancellation fee.
